I liked your whirlwind description of the Golden Trianngle a lot, especially because I am in Delhi right now and going on similar tours of these places myself. Just one thing though- it's Humayun's Tomb and not Hanuman's Tomb. Humayun would be the second Mughal emperor, and Hanuman, the simian deity of Hindu mythology.

Thanks! Glad you like the blog, and thanks for the correction on the name of the tomb!

Hi, I enjoyed reading your post. I'm traveling to India in late January and I have done very little planning for my trip. I'm flying into Delhi and out of Bombay and I'll be there for three weeks. After visiting the Taj Mahal I plan to travel through Rajasthan, down to Goa, and then Bombay. I would love hear about any mid-range hotel recommendations that you may have and tips/recommendations on transportation.

Sure! For hotels, my favorites were the Pearl Palace in Jaipur and the Shahi Palace in Jaisalmer. As for transport, I recommend flying over taking the train, but trains offer a more authentic experience if you're willing to put up with delays!

Also good is Ratan Vilas hotel in Jodhpur. It's one of the best mid-range hotels in the city, and is situated in beautiful surroundings.
